in the pursuit of change

in today's world, every day we see changes.
what we dressed last season, this year is no longer popular. the gadget you got last year no longer arouses admiration among others, because something newer, greater is now on top. 
we as people are also constantly changing. every morning you get a new chance to be a new version of yourself. some use given them chance to practice, hone their talents, take on new challenges. Others are not taken over all the fuss delve more into bad habits, make more and more mistakes, not doing anything for something to improve in your life or the lives of people in about them.


What is typical for successful people, how are they different from the rest? When I wondered about it today, I came to the conclusion that all of these successful  people before they started to run, sat down, closed their eyes and think:
Who am I? what I want? What can I improve? How to be better? Where are my weaknesses and how to overcome them? Bill Gates did not start one day consist of plaques and wires for the chance to discover the new iPhone. He needed a plan.  He could not achieve anything without a moment of silence, in which the planned change in his life, he chose a thoughtful way.

I don't know about you but I very often get lost in the course of my life: school, work, sports, eating, sleeping ... until one day I realize that I have not spoken with my loved ones for weeks. I do not know what is going on in the lives of my friends.

a group of people decided to experiment with a few people to dress for the homeless and set them on the path where they will most likely be passed by their loved ones. (video) not one of the people taking part in the experiment did notice that he or she walked past their loved ones just because they were dressed as homeless people.

 Think about it.

how many things you do not notice every day. or would you recognize your uncle if he had sat on the sidewalk in an old sweater. would you notice that the person asking you for change is your brother? if you live in the constant race do you still control in which direction you run?


On the last Sunday in church we prayed that God would expand us.
God wants to give his beloved people the best of all, just as an earthly father wants good for his children. but when we ask God to help us grow, to broaden our horizons, possibilities
how often did we not see opportunities that God has already given us to grow.

The Bible speaks of many of the promises of God for us:  eternal life (1 John 2:25). forgiveness (1 John 1.9), rescue (Isaiah 49.25). The Bible also says that we will do greater  things than Jesus:

“I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father. 13 You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father. 14 Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it!

Encouraged by a pastor in my church I decided to fast for two weeks. I decided to stop watching TV series, which is one of my favorite ways of wasting time. Today marks only the third day and I can already see see how much time I have been devoting to watch shows, and how much more worthwhile things I could do with that time, like maybe sleep.

This time allows me to focus more on reflection on myself and the direction I am headed, on what is my faith and on how God has supported me in the past.
It gives me time to think what do I want to see happen in my life next.


In the book of Joshua 1: 3 God says that every place where the state of your foot will be yours.

In order to enable God  to expand you, you need to realize that he is doing it already. Every single day HE gives you new terrain. Did you know that you have a right to it?

What does it actually mean? Any place where I am is mine? If you're at your own place it means that you're always at home, you can feel safe. This also means that you have to take care of people around you,, their well being. It shouldn't depend on whether you think you never meet them, or you think you still will have a million opportunities to help them. They are your people, the place where you are now is yours. Take care of it.
when you see that fire threatens your home, aren't you calling the firefighters? If you see someone mistreating your property don't bring it to their attention that you want this object to stay in a good condition so it can serve you for a long time?

every day God gives you a new chance to change the world around you.

You are not created to be small. Grow! Enlarge! Broaden your limits! And to achieve it all everyday stop and check in which direction you run.
